NAKAMURA GAUKEN GIRLS' JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Nakamura Gauken Girls Junior and Senior High School provides education for secondary students according to the following educational philosophy:
We bring them up into the people with their awareness as Japanese and manners to respect to Japanese tradition and culture.
We practice our human education that our school motto "Integrity, Gratitude and Effort" expresses, and bring them up into the healthy and polite women with their independence and sociality.
We instruct them about their course properly for their future, and develop their basic scholastic abilities so that they will grant their future dreams.
SUPER GLOBAL HIGH SCHOOL
In 2015, Nakamura Gauken was selected by the Japanese Ministry of Education as a SuperGlobal High School.
As noted in the Japan Times Community, the Super Global High School (SGH) program is a groundbreaking educational policy that deserves far more attention than it has garnered since it was announced a year ago by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The project, a key part of the government’s plan to reverse two decades of economic decline and growing insularity among the young, tasks 56 schools with creating a new generation of global leaders, with financial and supervisory support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
Under the program, high school students will be expected to hone their communication and problem-solving skills as they tackle global humanitarian issues in concert with Japan-based universities and international organizations, industry and nonprofit groups.
